Isha Ambani Piramal, the sister of Anant Ambani, honoured the traditional Bandhani art form of gujarat with her attire on July 3 during radhika Merchant's "mameru" ceremony. Pre-wedding ceremonies for Anant Ambani and radhika Merchant were held at the Ambani house in Mumbai. Isha looked stunning in an orange ruffle saree that Arpita Mehta created for the event. The gold blouse went nicely with the saree, and the bandhani outfit was adorned with mirror, thread, and cut danna hand embroidery.
“The ever so lovely Isha Ambani Piramal in our custom look which is a tribute to the ancient Gujarati art of Bandhani, with its exquisite bandhs and intricate designs. We’ve incorporated our signature mirror, thread and cut danna hand embroidery to craft motifs that celebrate the beauty and craftsmanship of this traditional indian art form in our classic signature tier ruffle sari.

By blending modern style with timeless tradition, we aim to showcase the splendour of Bandhani in a fresh and endearing way,” Arpita Mehta said while describing Isha’s ensemble in her instagram post.

An important part of Gujarati weddings, the "mameru" ritual represents the blessings and good wishes that the groom's mother family has given to the pair. The groom's maternal aunts and relatives also traditionally presented a set of presents known as "mameru" during the event.
