When the indian team was scheduled to arrive in india on July 1, a sudden cyclone hit Barbados. As a result, barbados airport was closed and flights were canceled. Due to this indian players had to stay in the hotel in barbados for 2 days. Meanwhile, a separate flight organized on behalf of bcci went to barbados airport last evening. After that indian players, bcci officials, journalists, etc also started the flight.
After 16 hours, the indian team arrived at the delhi airport. Meanwhile, many fans started gathering at the airport as early as 5.30 am to welcome the indian players. After 17 years, the t20 world cup has been brought to indian soil, and many fans are excited. indian players are greeted by prime minister Narendra Modi at 11 am. From there, the indian team led by rohit sharma will come to mumbai and join the victory rally in an open-air bus at 5 pm. Captain rohit sharma has already called the fans for this.
