Can Revanth Provide Houses for the Poor?
The key challenge for congress now is whether revanth can fulfill the promise of providing houses for the poor. Before the elections, congress pledged to provide houses to the homeless, which garnered significant support from poor voters. Consequently, the congress party won a resounding victory in Telangana. Six months have passed since revanth reddy took office, but the promise of Indiramma houses has yet to be realized. Out of the six guarantees made by congress, three are being implemented, and the fourth is on the verge of rollout. cm revanth reddy has assured that Indiramma houses will be delivered soon, with 5 lakh rupees to be provided to those with house plots and assistance for constructing houses. For those without land, house plots will be allocated, ensuring more houses across the state.
If this scheme is successfully implemented statewide, it could potentially eliminate homelessness in telangana, strengthening the chances of the revanth government being re-elected. Senior congress politicians believe that delivering on the Indiramma housing scheme will be a significant contribution to fulfilling Indiramma’s vision. It remains to be seen whether congress will follow through with this scheme or if it will remain unfulfilled, like KCR's promises.
