Telangana unemployed JAC leader ends fast at Gandhi Hospital
Leader of the telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC), Motilal Naik, said on tuesday that he was ending his indefinite fast, but he promised to step up the demonstration in order to attract more volunteers. On the ninth day, the jac leader called off the hunger strike at gandhi Hospital, which had been under difficult circumstances for the past several days owing to visits from political party and student group leaders expressing their support for him.
Thanking everyone for their support, Naik went on his hunger strike. He promised to step up the protests starting on Wednesday. He stated unequivocally that the jac will keep up the strike until their demands were met by the state administration.
Naik recalls KCR’s hunger strike
Naik remembered that the Centre had agreed to the demand for the establishment of a telangana state after telangana rashtra samithi (TRS) leader KC Rao went on a nine-day hunger strike. However, even after Rao's hunger strike, the government did not create an additional position for recruitment.

Naik claimed that congress officials advised the jobless to wait, invoking the Model Code of Conduct for MLC elections and then lok sabha elections, whenever they were reminded of their pledges. He said that the administration neglected to announce the job calendar and recruiting exam dates following the elections.
According to him, their primary requests were to increase the number of Group II and Group III postings by 2,000 and to enable 100 candidates for each post under the Group I main test.

Naik demands a mega DSC notification
In order to recruit 25,000 teachers, the jac chairman further requested that the state government release a massive DSC notification.

When BRS mla P. Rajeshwar reddy and a few other politicians arrived at gandhi Hospital on monday to express support for Naik, they were taken into custody by the police.
