'Kalki 2898 AD' FAILS MONDAY TEST as the movie sees 60% Dip
The epic dystopian sci-fi action film kalki 2898 AD, starring Prabhas, saw a sharp decline in its domestic box office receipts on Monday, down about 60%. The box office performance of Prabhas' most recent film was really impressive during its first weekend.
The first weekend's total for the movie was Rs 309 crore after it earned Rs 95.3 crore on day 1, Rs 59.3 crore on day 2, Rs 66.2 crore on day 3, and Rs 88.2 crore on day 4. However, according to preliminary estimates on Sacnilk, the movie only grossed about Rs 34.6 crore on its fifth day, bringing its total receipts to Rs 343.6 crore on its opening Monday.

Out of this, the hindi versions of the movie brought in about Rs 128 crore. The hindi versions of kalki 2898 AD brought in Rs 22.5 crore on day 1, Rs 23 crore on day 2, Rs 26 crore on day 3, Rs 40 crore on day 4, and around Rs 16.5 crore on day 5. After just four days of release, the movie has already made over Rs 550 crore at the global box office. Globally, kalki 2898 AD generated gross receipts of Rs 555 crore. Before the film's release, megastar amitabh bachchan spoke about his experience working on the picture at an event in Mumbai.
