To be more environmentally friendly and promote cashless transactions, the telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will soon be offering wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital services to its passengers.

The company is currently planning to install i-TIMS (Intelligent Ticket Issue Machine), which is outfitted with the Automatic Fare Collection System (AFCS) software, after obtaining favorable feedback from a test program. This will enable the use of UPI, QR codes, and debit and credit cards for payment shortly.

About 80 buses were used in the operation, which was launched as a trial on the RGIA airport road in Hyderabad's bandlaguda depot data-borders. The ticket vending machines were automatically turned over to the bus conductors.

After examining how these devices operated, the rtc authorities discovered that no problems had been reported by the employees who issued tickets. As a result, they have chosen to distribute the equipment throughout the fleet of vehicles and buses.

For a long time, paying the correct amount for a ticket was a big issue for both bus employees and customers. Following years of passenger concerns about cash shortages, especially with smaller denominations, the TGSRTC plans to implement cashless transactions in buses operating inside hyderabad city boundaries that have swiping devices.

The Android-based devices will function in both bus terminals and buses, according to rtc officials. The swiping mechanisms for online student and general pass renewal will even be installed at the bus pass desks.

It is anticipated that this measure will enable customers to purchase tickets at least fifteen minutes before the buses' departure. According to TGSRTC authorities, this method allows passengers to know ahead of time how many seats are available on the bus in addition to saving them time.

Gamyam app for AC, luxury, and e-buses soon

The TGSRTC authorities have expedited the process of utilizing their own vehicle monitoring system network, the TGSRTC Gamyam App, to cover all luxury, air-conditioned, and electric bus services.

Despite being released a year ago, the app was only functional on electric buses traveling the rajiv gandhi International airport (RGIA) route.

In the meanwhile, people are responding well to the TGSRTC Gamyam bus tracking app; in less than a year, over 10 lakh downloads have been recorded. The app offers information about buses that are available on a route at a specific time, as well as starting and destination points, in addition to driver and conductor details.

This app is available on google Play Store and can also be downloaded for free from TGSRTC official website www.tgsrtc.telangana.gov.in.
