PM Modi Back at Work - Engages Maldives Prez at Banquet

Prime minister Narendra Modi was back at work as soon as the swearing-in ceremony ended and Modi 3.0 got underway. Late on sunday night, at the Rashtrapati Bhawan banquet, he held a thorough discussion with President Mohamed Muizzu of the maldives over dinner.
President Muizzu was reportedly seated close to prime minister Modi when the indian PM was observed holding a serious discussion with the head of state of the Maldives. Seven months after becoming president on november 17, Muizzu paid a visit to India—a duration that is thought to be unprecedented for a president of the Maldives. Muizzu used the slogan "Out India" to campaign for the election, but when his subordinate ministers began making divisive remarks against India, things became more problematic.

Prior to the departure of Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe for Colombo at midday, other leaders are scheduled to meet with the External Affairs minister (to be announced) and then pay a visit to President Draupadi Murmu. President Muizzu will meet with the External Affairs minister, who will then call on all of the visiting dignitaries, including Vice President ahmed Affif of the Seychelles, prime minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, prime minister Prachanda of Nepal, prime minister Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan, and prime minister Pravind Jugnauth of Mauritius.

Even though PM Modi personally encouraged each of these leaders to run for a third term, they are all data-faced with the same challenge: Communist China's ascent along the country's northern frontiers and in the indian Ocean region. There will be conflict in the future because of the Chinese Navy's rapid expansion and its increased incursions into the indian Ocean, since there are currently two surveillance/spy ships in the indian Ocean region.
