When Rohit Sharma Consoled 'Crying' Naseem Shah

Although pakistan nearly broke their world cup curse against india, the outcome was ultimately what was predicted. After india remained composed and skillfully defended 119 to win by a small margin of six runs in a low-scoring thriller on sunday at Nassau County Stadium in New York, rohit sharma and his team were declared the winners of Group A.
With just three balls remaining, Naseem Shah data-faced an unlikely challenge of hitting sixteen, so he gave it everything he had, but it was not to be. 8 of 1 was the game set and the match in favor of india after a scoop shot for a four and another sliced boundary off the last ball of the match bowled by Arshdeep. As the left arm hit the ideal yorker to seal the victory for india, Naseem was unable to cope with the overwhelming flood of emotions. Two years after he memorably hit back-to-back sixes against afghanistan in the Asia Cup to send his side across the finish line, Naseem was unable to complete the task and was so disappointed that tears streamed down his data-face.

Even though india captain Rohit patted him on the back for his efforts and shaheen Afridi wrapped his arms around him, Naseem could be seen attempting to hide them. But in the end, only one squad emerged victorious, and that was Rohit's Team india last night.
