Modi 3.0's Great Oath Shortly: bjp Strikes a Balance...

Prime minister narendra modi today met with a number of NDA leaders ahead of the swearing-in event at Rashtrapati Bhavan; several of them are anticipated to be appointed as center-left ministers. The front row was taken by bjp stalwarts and representatives of nda allies as the prime minister addressed. The Modi 2.0 leaders amit shah, Rajnath Singh, nitin gadkari, nirmala sitharaman, Dr. S Jaishankar, dharmendra Pradhan, ashwini Vaishnaw, and piyush goyal are among those in attendance at the meeting. The others were Jyotiraditya Scindia, JDU leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh, HAM leader Jitan ram Manjhi, RLD's Jayant Chaudhary, JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy, LJP (Ram Vilas) president chirag paswan, and Jitin Prasada. Veteran bjp politician shivraj singh chouhan was also present.

Modi 2.0 and Modi 3.0 are very different from each other in that the bjp no longer has a majority in the lok sabha and must now rely on its allies in the nda to get over the magic number. It must therefore make room for its allies in the council of ministers as well.

Top sources have stated that under the third narendra modi government, N Chandrababu Naidu's tdp and Nitish Kumar's JDU are expected to receive at least one cabinet position and one minister of State seat each.

Following an exhausting 11-hour meeting at the Prime Minister's residence yesterday, the decisions on the new cabinet were made. Attending the meeting were amit shah, JP Nadda, the head of the bjp, and BL Santhosh, the national general secretary (organisation) of the party.

At 7:15 p.m. today, prime minister Modi will take the oath of office.

According to insiders, departing ministers of defense Rajnath Singh, roads and highways minister nitin gadkari, and home minister amit shah are likely to keep their positions. They also mentioned that two rajya sabha MPs, nirmala sitharaman and Dr. S. Jaishankar, are probably going to keep their positions as ministers of finance and external affairs, respectively.

The sources have stated that among the other allies, cabinet vacancies are expected to go to Jitan ram Manjhi of Hindustani Awam Morcha, HD Kumaraswamy of JDS, anupriya patel of Apna Dal (Sonelal), Jayant Chaudhary of RLD, and chirag paswan of LJP (Ram Vilas). Prataprao Jadhav, a member of parliament for Buldhana, might represent Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena. The leader of the BJP's steadfast partner, the Republic party of india (A), Ramdas Athawale, a rajya sabha MP, is also expected to be appointed as a minister and attended the meeting with the prime minister.

According to the reports, former haryana Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar, madhya pradesh leaders shivraj singh chouhan and Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Pralhad Joshi, who oversaw the parliamentary affairs portfolio in Modi 2.0, might all be appointed as ministers. sarbananda sonowal and Kiren Rijiju, the leaders of the bjp in the Northeast, could be back as ministers, and there are a few other names floating around. G Kishan Reddy, Shobha Karandlaje, BL Verma, bandi sanjay kumar, Nityanand Rai, and giriraj singh are some of the other names making the rounds. With 240 votes, the bjp fell 32 votes short of the majority needed to form a government, propelling chandrababu naidu and nitish kumar to the role of kingmakers.
