Telangana Hyderabad - GHMC food safety dept raids popular bar in Jubliee Hills

On Tuesday, june 4, a ghmc food safety task force team raided the Halo Cocktail Bar and Kitchen in Jubilee Hills.  Several expired food products, including Golden Rings Keora Water, Malabar Parota Half Baked, and Spicy Black Bean Sauce, were found by the crew. They were immediately thrown away.
 

In addition, products including tea powder, maize flour, American Garden apple cider vinegar, and black pepper were seized due to improper labeling. Upon finding that some partially cooked food items kept in the fridge had gone bad, they were thrown out. The food handlers' medical fitness certifications were missing from the facility. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian food products were also kept in the same storage area. However, the actual copy of the FSSAI Licence was on show at the billing counter.

The crew recognized and disposed of the 3 kg of expired Green Moong Dal and the 2 kg of outdated Eating Soda that were found. Furthermore, for not adhering to FSSAI labeling standards, cookies, jaggery, Kaju, and other commodities worth Rs 2.7 lakh were confiscated.
