Amid NDA, INDIA bloc meeting to take place at 6 PM

Meetings of the key leaders and allies of the india alliance and the national democratic alliance have been convened a day after the unexpected results of the lok sabha election to discuss the future steps. The bjp was forced to depend on its allies after falling well short of achieving the majority. On the other side, the alliance of the opposition gained more seats than anticipated, raising the possibility that, should it split from some of the BJP's supporters, it would establish a government of its own. Some of these politicians apparently received feelers from the india group on Tuesday.

In the lok sabha elections, the bjp only managed to win 240 seats, 32 seats shy of a simple majority. With more over 230 seats, the india group defied pollsters' predictions that its electoral destiny would be similar to that of its voters in 2014 and 2019. The sudden turn of events has made the bjp reliant on partners for the formation of the government, including Nitish Kumar, N Chandrababu Naidu, and Eknath Shinde.

The TDP, JD(U), Shiv Sena, led by maharashtra Chief minister Eknath Shinde, and the LJP (Ram Vilas), led by Chirag Paswan, have won 16, 12, 7, and 5 seats, respectively. They will be very important in forming the future administration.

N Chandrababu Naidu, meantime, has a press conference planned for today in Delhi. At 2:30 pm, he will touch down in the nation's capital. He is probably going to support prime minister Narendra Modi, according to india Herald sources.

Following the election, Naidu congratulated PM Modi.

"Thank you, @narendramodi Ji! On behalf of the people of andhra pradesh, I congratulate you on the NDA's victory in the lok sabha and andhra pradesh Assembly Elections. The people of andhra pradesh have given us a remarkable mandate, reflecting their trust in our alliance and its vision for the state. Together with our people, we will rebuild andhra pradesh and restore its glory," he wrote on X.
