Second Half of 2024 - Can Tollywood Bounce Back?

SIBY JEYYA
In terms of telugu movie box office receipts, the first half of 2024 is over. There haven't been many big-budget box office successes in telugu films lately, except Hanuman. The second half of 2024, which appears to be jam-packed with several expensive trips, is now the focus.

Everything begins with Kalki, which opens on this month's 27th and is expected to be one of the most expensive films ever made in indian history, if not the most expensive. A lot is riding on this being the first major star movie to hit theatres in the second half of 2024. Then, on august 15, there's pushpa 2, which is sure to be another box-office hit. If sukumar can deliver, the Allu Arjun-starring film has limitless box office potential and comes with the buzz of a potential sequel. If the chatter is positive, the box office potential for this movie seems limitless.

Although NTR's Devara is scheduled to be released on october 10, there are rumors that, if the product is prepared beforehand, the release date might be moved to september 27. There is a lot on the line because this is NTR's next major pan-Indian film following RRR. koratala siva is certain to deliver with this movie, even when it comes to terms. Then there are the floaters, Game Changer and hari Hara Veera Mallu, whose release dates have not yet been locked down but are scheduled to arrive in 2024. If all goes according to plan, these films may also be released in the last quarter of 2024.

Three movie office blockbusters have already sealed their 2024 release dates, but we still have two floaters. If they also go through, the second half of 2024 will feature five blockbusters, meaning that huge things are almost certain. Action scenes featuring famous people are urgently needed to entice moviegoers to return to theatres.
