Hyderabad CP - Elaborate arrangements to be taken up for smooth conduct of Bakrid

Elaborate plans for the approaching Bakrid celebration in june would be made in hyderabad, police Commissioner K Sreenivasa reddy said on Friday. On Friday, the Commissioner stated at a coordination meeting with various departments, including ghmc, Animal Husbandry, RTA, and the Cyberabad and Rachakonda police Commissionerates, that checkpoints will be established in and around the hyderabad City Commissionerate to prevent illegal cattle carriage.

Vehicles carrying animals unlawfully should be confiscated and promptly sent to the GHMC-approved cattle holding sites or Goshalas. He emphadata-sized that the people should not take the law into their own hands when it comes to halting and checking trucks carrying animals.
 
He further urged that the Animal Husbandry Department and the ghmc ensure the availability of veterinarians at checkpoints around the clock and depute dog-catching teams to deploy into communities and trap stray dogs before Bakrid. The Commissioner also emphadata-sized the need to provide coverings to families for corpse disposal, specific teams for rubbish and carcass collection on Bakrid, and the RTA department to maintain an adequate number of drivers, technicians, and cranes at crucial locations.
 
Vikram Singh Mann, Additional CP Law and Order, Ronald Rose, Commissioner of the ghmc, Dr. Budha Prakash Jyoti, Transport Commissioner, and other top officials were present.
