Will Jagan support INDIA Alliance?
With only five days until the counting of votes in the general elections across the country, major political alliances—the national democratic alliance (NDA) led by the bharatiya janata party (BJP) and the I.N.D.I.A block led by the Congress—has begun making efforts to increase their tallies by approaching neutral parties.

Despite controversial statements by some bjp officials, the YSRCP has maintained a tight connection with prime minister Narendra Modi's nda during the previous five years and has abstained from making critical comments against the BJP.
However, when the bjp partnered with the tdp before to the polls, jagan chose to end any cooperation with the saffron party.

"My party would not back the bharatiya janata party after the Centre elections if the YSRCP wins a large number of mp seats in parliament. "The bjp has lost credibility since collaborating with the telugu Desam party," jagan stated.
The YSRCP chairman also stated that the bjp had become a proxy of tdp president N chandrababu naidu and that his party would not support it after the elections.
During the recent budget sessions, jagan declared that he would back a pro-state party at the Centre to negotiate special category status.
When I.N.D.I.A. leaders approached him, jagan allegedly said unequivocally that his support was contingent on andhra pradesh receiving special category status. They told him that congress had previously made such a guarantee, dispelling whatever misgivings he may have had.
Jagan stated that he would decide on his position in the national political landscape only when the election results were published.
