The storm is predicted to make landfall on sunday midnight after passing over West bengal and the neighbouring coastlines of bangladesh between Sagar Island and Khepupara at 110 to 120 kmph, with gusts up to 135 kmph. With strong winds and heavy rain, the weather authority anticipated that the cyclone will have a significant impact on Tripura, coastal bangladesh, West bengal, and a few other northeastern provinces.
On May 26 and 27, the IMD issued a warning for extremely heavy rainfall in West Bengal's coastal districts, as well as heavy to very heavy rainfall in north Odisha. assam and meghalaya are also forecast to receive extremely high rainfall, while the northeastern states of Manipur, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh are projected to receive heavy to very heavy rains on May 27 and 28, respectively.
