No Chicken, Only Eggs for Polling Staff

SIBY JEYYA
In less than twenty-four hours, telugu states will have their general election polls. At six o'clock yesterday, the campaigning officially came to an end. In the meantime, poll workers are preparing at the polls to guarantee a seamless voting procedure throughout the state. The election commission has made the decision to give all of the officials and personnel who are handling elections at polling places a healthy food because of the extreme heat this summer. On May 12, the staff and representatives will show up at their assigned polling places accompanied by election apparatus.

At 4 p.m., they will be given buttermilk and samosas. They will be served with buttermilk or lemon water at 5:00 p.m. They will be given dinner, which will include rice, chapati, tomato dal, vegetable curry, chutney, and curd, between 7-8 p.m. The employees will receive a cup of tea and two bananas at six a.m. on May 13, the day of the election. They will be served with veggie upma for breakfast between 8 and 9 a.m. They will be served with buttermilk between 11 and 12 p.m. Lunch, which includes rice, chapati, egg curry, vegetable curry, chutney, sambar, and curd, will be served at 1 pm.

At 3 pm, there will be lemon juice or buttermilk available. They will be offered tea and biscuits at 5.30 p.m. For the convenience of the employees, fans and coolers (if necessary) are installed in every voting booth. These procedures at voting places will be handled by specially constituted personnel in municipalities and municipal corporations and panchayat executive officers in villages.
