According to state Chief Electoral Officer Satyabrata Sahoo, 51.41% of voters in tamil Nadu have cast ballots as of 3 PM in the first phase of the state's elections. Dharmapuri has recorded the highest voting percentage, at 57.86%. Namakkal, with 57.67% of the vote, finishes in second. Reports of minimum voting have been received for Chennai's three constituencies. The percentages for Chennai Central, South, and North are 41.47%, 42.10%, and 44.84%, respectively. Voting is proceeding without a hitch everywhere.

The Election Commission of India reports that up till 3 PM, 51.18 percent of voters cast ballots in Tamil Nadu. The Salem seat saw the highest voter turnout, 60.05 percent, while South Chennai saw the lowest turnout, 40.98 percent.
