In the delhi excise policy case, BRS MLC K kavitha was granted interim bail by the delhi Rouse Avenue court. On Monday, Special Judge kaveri Baweja rejected the request, stating that it was not appropriate to grant her temporary release. On april 20, her primary bail request is scheduled for hearing.

Kavitha begged the court for temporary release on the grounds that her 16-year-old son was facing examinations and needed her "moral and emotional support." The ED objected to the proposal, saying kavitha tampered with witnesses and destroyed evidence. Zoheb Hossain, the special counsel for the ED, said that she had intimidated an accused party who had transformed into an approver.

She is a prominent member of the "South Group," which the Central agency said was giving the governing AAP in delhi payments of Rs 100 crore in exchange for a major portion of liquor permits in the city.

In the midst of demonstrations by BRS supporters on march 15, the BRS legislator was taken into custody from her home in Banjara Hills. The next day, she was placed under ED custody for seven days. Later, her questioning while in custody was prolonged by three days. Last Tuesday, she was placed into judicial custody for 14 days.
