Telangana Hyderabad - Traffic challans worth 8.59 Crores issued in just 3 months
Since the new administration entered office, hyderabad has experienced a notable increase in traffic challans, with 8.3 lakh challans issued in the city. Cars were fined a total of Rs 8,59,20,025 between december 1, 2023, and february 22, 2024. The volume of traffic infractions in hyderabad is demonstrated by the 6.15 lakh pending instances of challans during this time, according to RTI statistics.

The majority of the complaints included two-wheelers; 5.90 lakh instances total, with penalties of Rs 17.59 crore, were registered in this category. In spite of this, 4.49 lakh cases are still outstanding after just 1.41 lakh cases paid the Rs 2.10 crore challan money.
