Telangana - Hyderabad based Megha Engineering donated highest amount to BJP
The company, which recently secured the coveted Zojila tunnel contract among other ventures, ventured into the city gas business and bought a media conglomerate, procured electoral bonds totaling Rs 966 crore.
Additionally, it has given to the BRS, which was Telangana's dominant party until recently.
Megha gave bonds of Rs. 37 crore to the congress PARTY' target='_blank' title='ysr congress-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW'>ysr congress party in Andhra Pradesh, led by jagan Mohan reddy, and Rs. 85 crore to the DMK, the tamil Nadu ruling party.
About Rs 25 crore went to the tdp and Rs 17 crore to the congress from the corporation.
The JD-U, JD-S, and Jana Sena party received smaller amounts, between Rs 5 and Rs 10 crore.
Megha Engineering Enterprises, an unlisted private company, was established in 1989 by businessman Pamireddy Pitchi reddy to produce pipes for local governments. After rebranding as Megha Engineering and Infrastructure in 2006, it proceeded to build major infrastructure projects, including highways, power plants, dams, and natural gas distribution networks.
