Telangana Hyderabad - Fancy Number Plates Sold for 30 Lakhs
When the city's luxurious TG number plate auction got underway, the RTA collected a cool Rs 30 lakh. On Friday, march 15, there was an event at the RTA headquarters in Khairtabad when the TG series number plates were unveiled.
The telangana administration opted to use "TG" as the new state abbreviation last month instead of "TS." Many people have been wondering whether Telangana's outdated car license plates need to be updated in the wake of this decision. TG number plates are given to car owners who apply for new vehicle registration. In contrast, automobiles that are currently registered do not require a modification.
The india Herald stated that the first TG number plate, TG 09 0001, was purchased for an astounding Rs 9.61 lakh during the auction. For amounts of Rs 2.30 lakh, Rs 2.21 lakh, Rs 1.2 lakh, Rs 1.20 lakh, and Rs 1,07 lakh, respectively, the number plates TG 09 0909, TG 09 0005, TG 09 0002, TG 09 0369, and TG 09 0007 were purchased. The sale brought in a total of Rs 30,49,589 in income.
TS to TG
'TS' was chosen as the state abbreviation by the trs administration when telangana was formed in 2014.
Minister D. sridhar Babu commented on it, stating that the previous administration chose to go with "TS" at its whim and did not adhere to any rules or regulations.
Chief minister A. revanth reddy presided over the state cabinet meeting where the decision to switch from "TS" to "TG" was made. It is only applicable to new cars in Telangana; it does not apply to older models.
To better represent the views of the telangana people, the cabinet has resolved to alter the Talli monument in Telangana. It chose "Jai jai Ho Telangana" by Andesri as the official state anthem and decided to create a new state symbol after consulting with all relevant parties.
