Telangana Hyderabad - Firm raided for unauthorised manufacture of sunscreen lotion
On march 15, agents of Telangana's drugs Control Administration (DCA) raided Esthetic Insights Private Limited, a cosmetic manufacturing plant located in IDA Jeedimetla, based on information they had obtained. They discovered that "Sunscreen Lotion" was being manufactured and sold without a license.
Since cosmetics may only be produced with a license from the DCA after meeting requirements set by the Bureau of indian Requirements (BIS), the facility's supplies were confiscated.

Shaik Saifulla, the director of Esthetic Insights Private Limited, was the target of a raid by DCA authorities who confiscated huge amounts of cosmetic sunscreen lotion sold under the trade name Dermasonique DSN Aquasolar Sunscreen SPF 50 PA++. According to a press statement from v B Kamalasan Reddy, DG DCA, the total value of the confiscated stocks was Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
Officers who conducted the raid were M. Vijay Gopal, Assistant director of DCA, Quthbullapur; G. Prasad, Assistant director, Khammam; A. Saritha, drugs Inspector, Jeedimetla; and others.
