YSRCP ‘gift boxes’ with Rs 10K, liquor ahead of Andhra Pradesh Polls

Videos of an "incentive box," purportedly funded by the state's ruling ysr congress party (YSRCP), appeared on social media ahead of the andhra pradesh elections. Little combination packets, a liquor bottle, a bidi bundle, gutka, playing cards, condoms, and Rs 10,000 in cash were all included in the present box bearing the YSRCP's insignia. With these gift boxes, the YSRCP is allegedly trying to sway voters ahead of the elections.

At the tadepalli camp office on Friday, veteran Kapu politician and former minister mudragada padmanabham and his son mudragada Giri became members of the YSRCP in the presence of chief minister and party president YS jagan Mohan Reddy. According to mudragada, he decided to provide jagan more support since he has been attempting to "uplift" the Kapu community.
 
"Leaders who have been working for the welfare of the poor in the society need to be protected," he declared, pleading with the Kapu community to stand with him in supporting Jagan. mudragada has spent years lobbying for reserves for the Kapu people. At his joining, key officials including mla Kurasala Kanna Babu, YSRCP's east godavari president Dwarampudi chandrasekhar reddy, and regional coordinator PV Midhun reddy were present.
