Video Evidence Sought: Claims Divide.!
The aftermath of Congress's Syed Naseer Hussain's victory in the karnataka Rajya Sabha elections has triggered an intensifying controversy, as bjp leaders filed a complaint alleging that supporters chanted "Pakistan Zindabad" during the celebratory events. The complaint was lodged by bjp mla Doddanagouda Patil and MLC ravikumar at the Vidhana Soudha police station.
In response, the police are in the process of gathering video recordings of the celebrations, intending to subject them to forensic examination for authentication. Prominent bjp figures, including R Ashok, BY Vijayendra, and Basavaraj Bommai, have strongly condemned the incident. Vijayendra criticized congress, stating that the party is "full of anti-national poison." Former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy called for immediate arrests, while Union minister Prahlad Joshi warned of widespread agitation across karnataka if stringent action is not taken.
Congress refuted the allegations, asserting that only slogans of "Naseer Saheb Zindabad" were raised during the celebrations. Naseer Hussain, the victor, has called for an investigation, hinting at potential mischief behind the claims. To support Congress's narrative, the Chief Minister's office released a video capturing the slogans of "Naseer Saab Zindabad." The incident has heightened political tensions in karnataka, prompting calls for accountability and condemnation from various quarters, further polarizing the political landscape.
