Telangana Hyderabad - College denies permission for namaz - Students Protest
The college has already made headlines for forbidding Muslim students from practicing their religion.
According to locals, the protest within the facility persisted for three days in a row, albeit briefly.
The students accused the management six months ago of forbidding them from donning headscarves. The police's intervention ended the matter.
The students said that on Thursday, after a group of females had performed a "zohar," the administration mistreated them and seized their identity cards.
When the police showed up there, they brokered a deal between the students and the management. To discuss the requests of the kids with the board members, the principal requested two days. The students boycotted lessons and persisted in their protest.
Nearly 1200 students attend the college, with Muslims making up the majority. The female students told the media that the personnel had just lately started to protest them performing namaz in the institution's classrooms.
The management did not respond to requests for remarks.
