With an interesting slate of projects, Janhvi Kapoor's schedule is busy. Among them is
koratala Siva's "Devara," in which she co-stars with
jr ntr and Saif
ali Khan, making her
telugu cinema debut. "I just received the dialogues of Devara last night, and all I want to do is sit in my room and learn my lines," the actress said in a recent
interview with The Week.
Janhvi told The Week, "I am ashamed of the fact that I never learned
telugu," in light of the endeavor. I am not able to speak it, but I can comprehend it phonetically. Yes, that is among my most regretted things.
"This aspect of me had lain dormant for a while," she said. However, the Devara crew is really helpful and patient. They are dealing with such stalwarts, and I am very appreciative that I can call them at any time for assistance with my lines."
October 10th is the projected release date of "Devara," which will be the first joint venture between superstar
jr ntr and Janhvi Kapoor.
In a recent
interview,
janhvi kapoor talked candidly about her time spent in Los Angeles to The Week. "Can I be honest? Janhvi studied acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and
film institute in Los Angeles. Nothing there taught me anything. "People tell me I'm too honest for Bollywood," she continued, adding that it has hurt me. But at least I get a good night's sleep. Moving to
california was exciting because it allowed me to become anonymous. It felt so good to be someone else's daughter for once. However, the curriculum of the institution was heavily influenced by
hollywood and casting agencies."
