Telangana - Congress sits pretty but tough fight lies ahead in LS polls

Even though the incumbent congress is enjoying its triumph in the assembly elections and expects to repeat it in the lok sabha hustings, the party will probably data-face the most formidable opposition in some constituencies during the next elections.

Despite naming Vamshichand reddy as its nominee for the Mahabubanagar seat, the party is up against fierce competition from the incumbent BRS as well as the BJP. The congress won each of the seven mahabubnagar assembly seats, but the bjp is aiming to pull an upset in the parliamentary elections this time around. In the 2019 elections, the then-TRS MP's seat was nearly taken by bjp nominee DK Aruna. congress was lagging well behind these two parties and was unable to meet expectations.

In this position, the BRS is waiting and watching, and it will undoubtedly field DK Aruna again. The congress is anxious to unseat BRS from the nagarkurnool seat. The bjp will probably provide a strong opposition here as well. Numerous candidates are vying for congress representation in nalgonda and Bhongir since the party formerly held both seats.
In Bhongir, the bjp is eager to run Dr Bura Narasaiah Goud, while the BRS is counting on Guththa Sukhender Reddy's clout in Nalgonda. Only Jagadeshwar reddy, a BRS leader from Suryapet, was sent by the district to the Assembly. The anticipated coalition between the BRS and bjp may tip the odds in favor of the opposition in mahabubnagar and nalgonda, therefore the congress will need to demonstrate its mettle under these circumstances.

There is rivalry for the congress seat in Khammam, and there are rumors that priyanka gandhi would run from this highly sought-after district. Except for Bhadrachalam, all assembly seats were won by the Congress.

This time around, the contest for the mahabubabad seat is likewise one-sided, although there is fierce rivalry among the congress candidates. A triangle battle might eventually aid congress in regaining the warangal seat.

Congress is probably going to win in karimnagar and Peddapalli. But karimnagar may see a fierce triangle battle.

In the seats of adilabad and Nizamabad, the bjp is leading the pack. Rivals are likely to fall behind the group, even in a triangular encounter.

Congress is poised to benefit from a triangular contest in Zaheerabad and Medak.

The battle royale between the bjp and congress is expected to play out in the remaining four seats, which include hyderabad and other nearby constituencies. The candidates they will field are Konda Vishweshwar reddy and the Patnam family, respectively. Malkajgiri, the state's largest constituency, will see an intriguing contest, while the two secunderabad and hyderabad seats will continue to present difficult challenges for the bjp and AIMIM.
