Directed by atlee, Jaawan has won 14  Dadasaheb Phalke Awards. The dadasaheb phalke International Film festival Awards 2024 was held in mumbai last evening. Shah Rukh Khan, rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Nayanthara, atlee, shahid Kapoor, Sandeep reddy Wanga, and many other celebrities attended this grand award ceremony. Out of this, jawaan won 4 awards, Animal won three awards, and Pathan and 12th Fail won two awards each.
Shahrukh Khan won the Best Actor award for Jawaan. Nayanthara was also awarded the Best Actress award for Jawaan. And anirudh ravichander was awarded the Dada Saheb Phalke Award for Best music Score for Jawaan. atlee also won the Critics' Choice Award for Best Director. With this, atlee has shown mass in his debut film in Bollywood.
He made his directorial debut in tamil cinema with the film raja Rani, where he was an assistant to director Shankar. atlee, who captured the hearts of the fans in his first film, continued to give hits like Theri, Mersal, and bigil with Vijay. With this, atlee became one of the leading directors in a very short period. atlee who has become the most wanted director has also become one of the highest-paid directors in the country.
Following this, atlee made his directorial debut in bollywood with Jawan. Jaawan, which hit the theaters in september last year, went on to collect over ₹1000 crore at the box office worldwide. Directed by atlee, the film stars Shahrukh, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, deepika Padukone, and sanjay dutt among others. It is noteworthy that this is Nayanthara's debut film in Hindi.
