UIDAI Clarifies: No Aadhaar Cancellations.!

The unique identification authority of india (UIDAI) has issued a clarification stating that no Aadhaar numbers have been cancelled. uidai, the agency responsible for issuing Aadhaar numbers, emphadata-sized that while they periodically encourage people to update their Aadhaar information, no Aadhaar numbers have been cancelled. The clarification aims to address concerns and misinformation regarding the cancellation of Aadhaar numbers.

UIDAI explained that Aadhaar serves as a crucial wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital identity, enabling individuals to access subsidies, benefits, and services. To maintain accuracy in the Aadhaar database, uidai conducts campaigns encouraging individuals to update their documents and Aadhaar information. Aadhaar holders are regularly informed about these updates. The agency emphadata-sized that these efforts are focused on ensuring the accuracy of the Aadhaar database, not on cancelling Aadhaar numbers.


The clarification comes in response to recent accusations by West bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee, who alleged that the central government deactivated Aadhaar numbers in the state ahead of the lok sabha elections. Banerjee accused the government of obstructing people from accessing the benefits of social welfare schemes. In a letter addressed to prime minister Narendra Modi, Banerjee raised questions about the alleged deactivation of Aadhaar numbers without any valid reason. 


UIDAI's clarification aims to dispel any concerns and misinformation surrounding the status of Aadhaar numbers and highlights its commitment to resolving complaints through their Grievances and Feedback page.
