Telangana Hyderabad - Illegal digging near Qutub Shahi Masjid

Concerned about the alleged illegal excavation and impending demolition threat facing the historic Qutub Shahi Masjid and graveyard at secretariat Hills, Neknampura village, Gandipet Mandal, activists group heritage watch has expressed concerns and filed a formal complaint with the manikonda Municipal Commissioner.
 
The organization claims that by using large machinery for illicit digging activities, unknown people with hidden agendas are planning the encroachment and possible destruction of Qutub Shahi Masjid and Tomb premises.
 
With deep concern over the situation, heritage watch emphadata-sizes how urgently local authorities and pertinent parties must step in to protect the sacredness and historical significance of the Qutub Shahi Masjid and its environs. Authorities have been encouraged to launch a swift and comprehensive inquiry into the alleged encroachment and unlawful excavation operations in a letter dated february 13. The activists have called for coordinated actions to stop more harm to the historic place and to hold individuals accountable who have violated religious and cultural markers.
 

A grievance has been lodged over the purported endeavour to invade the territory of Qutub Shahi Masjid, situated in Neknampur, Gandipet, on the periphery of Hyderabad. The group heritage watch filed a complaint alleging that certain people are trying to infringe on the site of the tomb and mosque by digging with heavy equipment like Hitachi and JCB.
