For the medical students at the Gadag Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) in karnataka, the instagram reels tagline, "Reel it, feel it," has gone awry. A total of 38 college students have been fined for filming reels on the hospital grounds. The hospital administration on saturday prolonged the housemanship training term by ten days due to regulation violations.

Dr. Basavaraj Bommanhalli, the director of the Gadag Institute of Medical Science, declared that this was a serious error and that 38 people had broken the regulations by creating instagram clips on the school grounds. This is a serious error. To spare the patients from discomfort, they ought to have done whatever it was they intended to do outside the hospital."

"Permission for such actions has not been provided by us. According to them, it was captured on camera for the pre-graduation event. This has been acknowledged by us. We have prolonged their housekeeping for an additional 10 days, even though it was originally scheduled to conclude in the following 10 to 20 days."

Just one day prior, a physician was fired by karnataka Health minister Dinesh Gundurao for doing a pre-wedding photo session in the operating room of a government hospital in the Chitradurga district.

Videos of medical students dancing in the district hospital corridor to hindi and kannada music went popular on social media, bringing attention to the event.
