A video of indian herdsmen bravely confronting Chinese soldiers near the data-border has gone viral. india and china have a long-standing data-border dispute. In this situation, shepherds from Ladakh bravely stood up and fought against Chinese soldiers who tried to stop them from grazing their goats near the Line of Actual Control. Following the Kalwan conflict in 2020, local herdsmen have stopped grazing their cattle in the area, and video footage of them brawling with Chinese troops and confirming that they are on the indian data-border has garnered praise. Over the past three years, nomads in eastern Ladakh have stopped grazing their cattle in areas near the Line of Actual Control. This was the first time they asserted their grazing rights in the area and forced the Chinese soldiers to retreat.
Chushul area councilor Konchok Stanzin praised the resistance and courage of the local herders. He also thanked the indian army for supporting them. "It is heartening to see pastoralists and nomads asserting their rights in the traditional grazing lands on the northern bank of bangkok with the help of the fire and Fury soldiers of the indian army Northern Command in the data-border areas of eastern Ladakh." He also said that he would like to thank the indian army for such strong relations between the civilians and the army and for safeguarding the interests of the people of the data-border region. Konchok Stanzin, councilor of the Chushul area, said that the shepherds bravely data-faced the Chinese soldiers with the help of the indian army. In the video released in this regard, there are three Chinese military vehicles. Horn sounds are coming from those vehicles. Chinese soldiers signal the herdsmen to leave. But they refuse to leave remain firm in their position and engage in arguments with the Chinese soldiers. They also boldly point out that they are grazing on indian soil. At one point the argument ended and the herdsmen took the stones from there. But no attack took place. No major violence broke out. Chinese soldiers are also seen in the video without weapons.
