A lady died after her husband reportedly threw her from the third story of a building after an altercation, authorities said on Saturday. They said that the culprit, Vikas Kumar, had been apprehended. The assault occurred on friday night in the Govindpuram neighbourhood, according to authorities. Kumar, a parking contractor, arrived home drunk and got into a furious dispute with his wife Shalu, who was in her late 30s, police said.
"After throwing her off the third floor, he took her to the district hospital, where doctors declared her dead," Assistant Commissioner of police Abhishek Srivastav stated. Kumar reportedly fled the hospital when physicians advised the staff to notify the police. He was apprehended a few hours later, authorities added.
"We filed a FIR against Kumar for murder. "He was jailed on Saturday," the officer stated.
