In a cryptic tweet, she asked if anybody had cringed while watching a movie, and expressed her wish to vomit after seeing a certain film.
The replies mostly targeted sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, presently available on Netflix. Despite the social media outrage, Raadhika opted not to explain her comments, leaving it up for interpretation. Even if they had not seen Animal, tamil fans mocked, abused, and trolled Vanga's flick.
Is it OK for a senior actress to disparage a film or its creators by stating she felt sick after seeing it? Has she ever criticized a tamil film in such severe terms, or does this feeling apply primarily to films from other industries? One might wonder why a few bollywood reviewers were critical of Animal. However, it's important to highlight that professional criticism from those who make money in the same entertainment sector is far different than attacking another filmmaker with below-the-belt remarks.
