Ram Mandir Ceremony: assam prohibits sale of non-veg...

In advance of the opening of the ram temple in ayodhya on january 22, the Assamese government said on sunday that all non-vegetarian food items will be prohibited from being sold. The state has officially announced that all non-vegetarian food items will not be sold till 4 p.m. on monday, the day of the ram temple's inauguration, according to chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Additionally, Sarma urged eateries all throughout the state to refrain from serving non-vegetarian fare on monday during ram temple pran Pratishtha.

"This is a moment that has arrived in our lives after 500 years, and we are unsure if it will occur again. Making this unforgettable is our responsibility," he remarked. Sarma claimed that this was an occasion of India's triumph over foreign invaders rather than a political or religious occasion. He also urged the Christian and Islamic communities to pray for ram Lalla and perform Namaz.

"I request that the Muslim and Christian communities pray and perform a special Namaz on monday in honour of ram Lalla. We have defeated invaders like Babar with this," he declared. Sarma urged people to stay at home and prevent any type of conflict, stating that sufficient law enforcement and paramilitary personnel, including the Central Reserve police Force (CRPF), have been stationed in sensitive regions around the state.

In observance of the ram mandir pran Pratishtha, several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, and Haryana, have banned the sale of meat, fish, and alcoholic beverages. The chief minister of assam declared a dry day and a half-holiday for government institutions on monday, roughly two weeks ago. Sarma declared on saturday that all state-wide educational institutions, including colleges, universities, and schools, would be closed.
