At the storied jawaharlal nehru Stadium in chennai on Friday, prime minister Narendra Modi will officially open the Khelo india Youth Games 2023, ushering in a two-week long athletic festival. More than 5,500 athletes from 26 competitive sports will compete in the event, which is scheduled to take place from january 19 to january 31. Notably, for the first time in the history of the Khelo india Youth Games, the traditional sport of tamil Nadu, silambam, will be added as a demo sport.
