According to statistics from the indian Metrological Department, january is the city's hottest month on record. With overnight temperatures approaching 20°C, the city is only one degree short of the highest nighttime temperature recorded since 1981. The lowest temperature of 19.4°C is significantly above average, with a 4°C variation for this time of year. It is one of the hottest Januarys in the past 40 years.

Daytime temperatures are also rising. Begumpet's Meteorological Centre recorded a temperature of 30.7°C on friday afternoon, which is around 2°C higher than the usual. This week's exceptionally mild weather contrasts sharply with previous Januarys. Historical data from India's climatological tables for 1991-2020, as well as IMD's climatological normals for 1981-2010, show that the average daytime temperature in hyderabad during the first two weeks of january is typically around 28°C, with nighttime temperatures averaging about 15.9°C.

According to TSDPS, no rain is forecast in hyderabad over the next three days. The highest temperature in hyderabad is expected to be between 28 and 30 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature will likely remain in the 18-20 degree Celsius range. For the next several days, hyderabad is set to see summer-like temperatures throughout the winter season.
