Hyderabad locals are anticipating a milder makar sankranti this year, breaking the traditional pattern of frigid weather that often accompany the holiday season. While the celebration has traditionally been associated with bonfires and winter chills, this year's weather prediction shows a sharp difference.

In contrast to the usual, the city has seen above-normal maximum and minimum temperatures in recent days, and meteorologists expect this trend to continue in the coming days. According to the latest forecast from the india Meteorological Department (IMD), hyderabad may anticipate an average low temperature of roughly 19 degrees Celsius during the next five days, with an average high temperature of more than 30 degrees Celsius. The forecast promises a respite from the regular winter cold, with just mist expected during makar sankranti celebrations.

On Saturday, hyderabad had an average low temperature of 19.4 degrees Celsius, above the normal of 16.2 degrees Celsius. The day remained steamy, with a high temperature of 30.7 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 75%. Similar circumstances are predicted in neighbouring regions, where minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to continue above normal for the next five days. Stay tuned with us.
