I Found Recognition and Respect after Dubbing for Prabhas

Sharad Kelkar, one of Bollywood's most recognisable voices, has spoke out against dubbing for South indian films and being identified as Prabhas' voice in South indian films dubbed in Hindi. The actor began voicing prabhas in Baahubali, and his most recent collaboration with the telugu actor was Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel.

"I have stammered since I was a youngster. I used to stutter before I began acting. I never imagined being an actor, never alone a voice actor," Sharad adds, recalling how his voice has gained a new fan base since he dubbed for Prabhas' roles in the Baahubali films and Salaar. He also dubbed for prabhas in the hindi film Adipurush.

Sharad Kelkar stated of dubbing for South indian films, "In the south, I haven't done much work in a long time. I haven't dubbed any hollywood films in a long time, either. But the recognition I received for Prabhas' flicks was significant. I don't believe it has occurred to anyone in the voicing industry. people have begun to know the voice-over actors, such as Shreyas (Talpade) in pushpa and Sachin Gole as yash in KGF. So, after Baahubali, I don't think it's accurate that you don't know who did the dubbing or whose voice it is."
