Reportedly headlines are buzzing with the news of a series of collisions involving multiple vehicles that led to a pileup around 8 am on Wednesday, december 27. The chaotic incident unfolded on both the yamuna Expressway in Greater noida and the agra Mathura firozabad national highway, highlighting the challenges posed by dense fog during the early hours. Surprisingly, amid the commotion, not everyone was preoccupied with the vehicular mayhem.

It turned out that one of the vehicles involved in the multi-vehicular crash was transporting live poultry, specifically broiler chickens bred for meat production. Seizing this unexpected windfall, the locals swiftly shifted their focus from the accident to a more peculiar pursuit – looting chickens.

Upon moving the damaged vehicle aside, the police uncovered a cargo of live chickens with an estimated value of up to Rs. 1.50 lakh. The news quickly spread among the onlookers, prompting a spontaneous chicken-looting spree. Some individuals, displaying a keen sense of enterprise, arrived with sacks to maximise their loot. Whether on foot or on bikes, these opportunistic locals seemed to have elaborate plans for multiple trips.

Meanwhile, the pileup, which occurred on the national highway, resulted in damage to at least a dozen vehicles. Tragically, one fatality was reported, and several others sustained injuries in the collisions. The injured individuals were promptly transported to hospitals, with a crane summoned to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the road.
