CBN Focusing on Telangana - Here's Why!

SIBY JEYYA
Telugu Desam party has chosen to boycott the recent telangana assembly election. One of the key reasons was that the party's president, Chandrababu, was held on judicial remand and was unable to analyze the situation in telangana and devise an electoral strategy. But now that Naidu is back, it appears that he has refocused his attention on Telangana. He is reported to be laying the groundwork for the legislative elections next year.
Naidu has already received a list of ten candidates for telangana tdp president. According to sources, Nandamuri Suhasini, T-TDP convener kambhampati Rammohan Rao, incumbent vice president Katragadda Prasuna, and others are vying for the position of T-TDP president. The plan is to have a fully operational political outfit for the next telangana legislative election. With ycp suffering anti-incumbency in ap and tdp gaining significant momentum there, focussing on telangana and potentially winning a few mp seats here will help TDP's national political chances.
Naidu is thought to be concerned about selecting the proper T-TDP president this time around because the last two men, Kasani Gnaneshwar and L Ramana, left the party and eventually joined BRS. Naidu does not want something like this to happen during the upcoming general election. He is anticipated to make an announcement soon on the next T-TDP president.
