Cyclone Michaung - Telangana will receive Heavy Rainfall - IMD Warning

The india Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for telangana today, predicting severe to very heavy rainfall on december 5 as a result of Cyclone Michaung. The meteorological service has predicted that the state would get more than 204.4 mm of rain tomorrow.

Earlier, the IMD predicted that rain or thundershowers would occur in hyderabad and other telangana regions today and tomorrow. The IMD has issued a red alert, urging citizens to be vigilant and safe. Cyclone Michaung is now disrupting the lives of people in tamil Nadu, southern andhra pradesh, and southern Odisha.

The strong cyclonic storm Michaung is producing torrential rainfall in chennai, throwing daily life into disarray as a result of the heavy deluge. The government has decided to keep the chennai airport closed till 9:00 a.m. on tuesday due to severe winds and heavy rain. Cyclone Michaung also caused aviation disruptions, with 10 flights cancelled and 20 flights delayed owing to heavy rainfall since midnight.
According to the indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Cyclone Michaung is likely to strike the South andhra pradesh coast between nellore and machilipatnam on Monday. The strong cyclonic storm's wind speed is likely to stay in the 80-90 kmph range and may potentially exceed 100 kmph in some areas.
