Telangana Elections 2023 - Staff on poll duty allege denial of postal ballots
On november 25, POs, APOs, and OPOs protested at Saroornagar's Zilla Parishad High School, where they were getting training for their jobs. They requested that postal ballots be made available. According to statistics from the hyderabad District election Authorities, a total of 34,452 poll workers and police officers have been deployed for elections in Hyderabad's 15 assembly constituencies. Among them, 21,916 chose the postal ballot option. Concerns concerning the postal ballot facility were directed to voters' individual returning officers (ROs) by election authorities.
After weeks of high-octane campaigning, telangana voters are now in charge as the state prepares for single-phase elections on Thursday. Polling in 119 seats begins at 7 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m., with strong security in place. On december 3, the votes will be tallied. According to official sources, voting in Telagana will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 106 constituencies and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in 13 Left Wing Extremism (LWE) impacted districts.
