Telangana Assembly Election 2023 - Voting for 119 seats begins

Telangana's 32.6 million voters will decide the destiny of 2,290 candidates contesting for 119 assembly seats on Thursday. The heated campaign, which included key national figures such as prime minister Narendra Modi, congress President rahul Gandhi, and governing Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Chandrashekar Rao, concludes in this election.

Telangana's results, as well as those from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram, where voting took place between november 7 and november 25, will be published on december 3. telangana is the last of these states to hold elections. "Polling will take place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. in 106 constituencies, and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in 13 Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected areas." The incumbent BRS has candidates in all 119 seats, while the bjp and Jana Sena, led by star Pawan Kalyan, have candidates in 111 and 8 seats, respectively. Furthermore, the congress has given one seat to its partner, the communist party of india (CPI), while running candidates in 118 other seats."
