Telangana Hyderabad - Section 144 Imposed

Sandeep Shandilya, the city police commissioner, has issued a notification implementing Section 144 of the CrPC, prohibiting gatherings of four or more individuals in hyderabad from 5 p.m. on november 28 till 5 p.m. on december 1. Due to the telangana election day, gatherings of four or more people within a 200-meter radius of polling booths in hyderabad and secunderabad would be forbidden. This order will be in effect on november 30 from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. The chief officer has stated that anyone who violates the directives would data-face punishment.


In Rachakonda and Cyberabad commissionerates

Rachakonda police commissioner DS Chauhan also issued a notification enforcing Section 144 and directed police officers to ensure that public gatherings were prohibited. DS Chauhan further said that all electors attending voting booths in the Rachakonda commissionerate, which comprises Ranga Reddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, and yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts, should form two lines.

Meanwhile, Cyberabad Commissionerate Chief stephen Raveendra issued similar instructions within the jurisdiction of the Cyberabad Commissionerate. According to the directives, there will be a full ban on unlawful assembly as well as the conducting of public meetings during this period.
The high-octane campaign for the november 30 telangana assembly votes will finish at 5 p.m. today, following the longest poll season in comparison to the other four states where elections have already been held (Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Mizoram). telangana will vote on november 30, with the results being announced on december 3.
