Pranitha Subhash, who has primarily worked in Tamil, Telugu, and kannada films, recalls working in ajay Devgn's Bhuj The Pride of India, and expressed concern about her ability to "stand out enough" in a film starring Ajay, Sonakshi Sinha, and Sanjay Dutt, among others. In an exclusive conversation with Hindustan Times, the actor discusses motherhood's impact on her work and other topics.
Pranitha has also appeared in bollywood films like Hungama 2. She is now working on her malayalam debut. Pranitha recalled working with ajay devgn in Bhuj The Pride of India, saying, "This was a Marathi wife role and they thought I fit the bill with my south-Indian looks." It was an ensemble cast back then, and it was also my first picture. It makes you nervous because you're not sure if you'll stand out enough (in such a large ensemble)." Pranitha portrayed Ajay's wife in the film directed by abhishek Dudhaiya. Nora Fatehi, Ammy Virk, and sharad kelkar also appeared.
"That could have been the most difficult part for me because back in the day, if you were the hero's wife or something, you were the only one...now it is not like that," she continued. And, in the south, it is obvious whether you have a song with the hero or this sequence that will set you apart. The difficult aspect was that it felt different here. "Hindi was not difficult for me because I had very few dialogues."
