Over 18,800 voting booths have been set up for the election, which begins at 8 a.m. and runs until 5 p.m. Due to security concerns, voting in nine polling booths - Kamarbhaudi, Amamora, Odh, Bade Gobra, Ganwargaon, Gariba, Nagesh, Sahbinkachhar, and Kodomali - in the naxal-affected Bindranawagarh seat in Gariaband district will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The state's electoral battle is mostly between the congress and the bjp, with both parties running high-octane campaigns. prime minister Narendra Modi led the BJP's campaign, speaking at four rallies in the state and criticizing the existing Bhupesh Baghel-led administration, particularly for corruption and the suspected Mahadev betting app scandal. Other bjp officials campaigned for the state, including amit shah and JP Nadda. Meanwhile, mallikarjun Kharge, rahul Gandhi, priyanka Gandhi, and bhupesh baghel led the campaign in the state, where they launched a counter-offensive against the BJP.
