According to Reuters, Israeli forces discovered weapons and "terror infrastructure" at Al Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip during an ongoing raid. He said that there was no violence within the hospital complex when the military came during the night since there was no conflict with medical workers or patients. They were in a different section of the site, he said.

"IDF troops have already discovered weapons and other terror infrastructure." "We saw concrete evidence that Hamas terrorists used the Shifa hospital as a terror headquarters in the last hour," the officer claimed, without identifying which area of the hospital forces were inspecting.

He stated that the proof would be given later, adding, "This is an extremely precise and targeted operation." Our men are stationed in a specific region of the vast Shifa hospital complex." The duration of the raid is unknown. "Our soldiers are making a slow and deliberate progress based on our intelligence," he told reporters.

According to the official, four terrorists were killed in a battle outside Al Shifa as Israeli forces attempted to enter the compound. Soldiers had interviewed anyone discovered in the area where they were looking, he added. "I have an understanding that one of them is Hamas," he said.

Earlier, israel claimed that Hamas utilised Al Shifa, Gaza's largest hospital, as a cover for its operations. This assertion has been refuted by Hamas and medical personnel.

After Israeli soldiers invaded the hospital, the United Nations and the red Cross expressed concern.

"I'm appalled by reports of military raids on the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza," UN humanitarian director Martin Griffiths said, adding that "the protection of newborns, patients, medical staff, and all civilians must take precedence over all other concerns." Hospitals are not combat zones."
