Meanwhile, the city police have advised the public that the vehicles carrying the idols should start early so that the procession can take place on time to avoid congestion. Officials have made it clear that the use of musical systems with DJs on vehicles is strictly prohibited on the immersion day and that vehicular movement should not affect traffic on the road. Clear instructions were given that vehicles carrying idols should not be stopped near places of worship or any other junctions and persons under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants should not be allowed in the vehicles participating in the procession.
