Kalanidhi Maran gifted actor Rajinikanth with an expensive bmw luxury car after his film Jailer was a huge success. Rajini had even said in the success meeting that he felt rich when he went in that car. Famous film journalist Bismi has talked about the things behind Rajini's speech in a recent interview which is going viral. In that interview, Bismi said that even though Rajini was a huge superstar, he used the Ambassador car for a long time. While all the actors who came after him used luxury cars, Rajini used to come to the shoot in an ambassador car. He could have bought all the expensive luxury cars if he wanted to, but he didn't because of his simplicity. After that Rajini switched to Innova's car. He used to travel in that car almost till Kalanidhi Maran gave him the car. Rajini, who used to travel in these types of cars, suddenly got the feeling that this was a car driven by rich people when he was traveling in a luxury car.
